The FIFA (Federation of International Football Association) Grassroots course, an ambitious project of the world football governing body FIFA, is schedule to kick off in Antigua on July 2nd 2012 ending on July 7th 2012 with a football festival.

The five-day course falls on the official programme of ABFA (Antigua and Barbuda Football Association).The project will be conducted by Marcos A. Tinoco, FIFA Grassroots Instructor. Mr. Tinoco will teach the participants about the various technical and logical aspects about playing the game at an early age. The Aim of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association is to introduce football to boys and girls at an early age (6-12 ) to improve the football nationally.

The course will be done in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Invitations were sent to all Primary Schools via the Ministry of Education, and Member Clubs of the ABFA are also invited to participate. Each day 100 – 200 football enthusiastic will be given football lesson along with the coaches. The Course will end with a Football Festival where 200 kids will participate. The coaches will be presented with coaching equipment after the Course.
