St. John’s, Antigua – The ABFA began its media campaign for the upcoming CFU Women’s Caribbean Cup with a press conference on Wednesday. Present at the press conference was newly appointed head coach Rowan “3fives” Isaac, General Secretary Gordon Derrick and Men’s Head Coach Rolston “Debu” Williams.

The Benna Girls will be on display in Group 1 alongside Aruba, USVI and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. The ABFA will host their group in the first phase of qualifying and this will allow the nations football fans to have a chance to see the progress made with the female program since its restructuring in 2011.

Men’s Head Coach Rolston Williams had these comments on the support and changes made in the female program from the ABFA.

Female team head coach Rowan Isaac spoke on the preparation and what he thinks of the current crop of female players at his disposal for the tournament.

General Secretary Gordon Derrick also gave his view on the technical side of preparation for the female national team.

The Antigua and Barbuda FA will also be streaming all matches. Antigua will begin battle for the inaugural Women’s Caribbean Cup 2014 from May 21st to May 28th in Group 1.
