St. John’s, Antigua – The Antigua and Barbuda Football Association will be hosting a girls ‘grassroots course and festival in partnership with CONCACAF from December 4th to 6th to fulfill our pledge of continuous women’s football development.
CONCACAF and the ABFA believe that one of the most effective ways to attract future football players is by giving them the opportunity to play football in their environment. The concept being that you cannot have a strong house without a solid foundation.
We are inviting females involved in the children’s education; be they parents, schools, coaches, football academies, voluntary groups and churches to attend the course.
The course will be the focus on coaching techniques for those instructing girls aged 6-12 and concentrate on creating engaging exercises that will encourage greater participation in the game, while also introducing fundamental technical skills.
The course will take place on Thursday and Friday 4th to 5th from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, the festival will be on Saturday 6th at 9:00 am until 1:00pm.
For registration via email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone the ABFA Secretariat at 562-6012 or 562-6012.
