The ABFA Opens It’s 2013/2013 Football Season

St. John’s, Antigua – The ABFA kicked-off  what any football fan would term an energetic start to this year’s football season at the Antigua Recreation Ground. The opening day ceremony started with the traditional march pass of teams and presentation of  trophies.

Before the highly anticipated opening  match between defending champions Lime Old Road and Asot’s Arcade Parham F.C. Fans were treated with a full field performance by the Madd-Tiguans who utilized the field as their stage to deliver their trademark performance that earned them the name Madd-T-guans. Following the musical performance members of the Elite Dance Group, also gave the crowd at the ARG a stunning performance that left them cheering for more entertainment.

The field was then cleared and the echoing sound of “time to play the game” was heard by hundreds of fans. As Lime Old Road and Asot’s Arcade Parham were the first two teams to go head-to-head, the crowd was then given another surprise as the dynamic duo, IBIS the Livest and Super Dymond urged the fans to call on their team.

At half time the heat was turned up a notch with a performance by the Fire Dancer performing a number of pyrotechnics, fire eating and more. As the smoke cleared at the end of the game it was Lime Old Road who came out victorious with a 3 – 2 victory over Asot’s Arcade Parham.
