St. John’s, Antigua – There is excitement in the air just days before the launch of the CONCACAF Girls Grassroots 7 V 7 tournament.

Today ABFA Media met up with ABFA President Everton Gonsalves, Vice President and Head of Female Football Gwen Salmon and CONCACAF Female Instructor Heather Dyche.

CONCACAF Instructor Dyche explained the plans ahead while herself and (other person are in Antigua) were present in the twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda.

ABFA Vice President Gwen Salmon was happy about the buzz surrounded the tournament and gave details of what was ahead for the ABFA and the tournament.

When asked if the 7 V 7 would be a one time event Salmon explained:

President of the ABFA Everton Gonsalves expressed his thanks to CONCACAF for choosing Antigua.

The CONCACAF Girls Grassroots 7 V 7 Tournament kicks-off with an opening Ceremony at the Multipurpose Cultural Center at 6pm Friday evening and the girls of Antigua will take the field from 9am Saturday morning.
