A&R Plumbing and Electrical Celtics captured the ABFA First Division title following a 4-1 victory over Guydadli on Tuesday.

With one match remaining the Champions have amassed an unassailable 44 points to take the title and gain automatic promotion to the top flight.

They will be joined by Virgin Holidays Fort Road, in second place on 39 points, four points ahead of Ottos Rangers in third both teams also have one game left.

Fort Road secured its promotion to the top flight with a 3-0 win over Potters Tigers at Fort Road Yesterday.

On Thursday as well, Rangers drew 0-0 with Sweetes killing its hopes of an automatic bid for promotion. Villa won 2 -1 over Freemnsville at Villa .

Statistically, Rangers, Five Islands, Villa Lions, Urlings and Sweetes can finish in the third or fourth positions.

The teams that finish third and fourth will join Bassa, eighth in the premiership, in a three-team playoff with the winner awarded a spot in the top flight.

Lion Hill, with just nine points from 21 games will be relegated to the second division but Bethesda and Guydadli, both with two games remaining are still on the brink.

Bethesda, on 21 points, five ahead of Guydadli needs two points from as many matches to avoid automatic demotion.

Even if Bethesda avoids that automatic demotion it will need to win a three-team playoff with the third and fourth placed teams in the second division.

Those teams are yet to be decided with loads of games left to play.
