Millwall have completed the signing of Gillingham defender Mahlon Romeo on a one-year contract.

Mahlon, 19, initially joined The Gills the summer of 2012 on a two-year scholarship, having previously played in the youth systems at Arsenal and Wycombe Wanderers.

The right-back was given permission to feature a couple of times for Millwall’s U21s towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign and is relishing the prospect of life with The Lions.

“I already know Alfie Pavey from my time at Gillingham,” said Mahlon, “Alfie was at Maidstone then and we used to play them quite a bit in friendlies and so on.

“Everyone has been really friendly here already and I’m delighted to sign for Millwall.”

Mahlon is set to feature for Antigua and Barbuda in under 23 Olympic Qualifiers between from the 23rd to the 28th of June, 2015.
