St. John’s, Antigua – Grand Celebrations were held on Saturday April 4th as newly promoted Urlings F.C held their season ending award ceremony. Attending the prize giving ceremony were club executives, players, specially invited fans and ABFA president Everton “Batow” Gonsalves.

Although on the night, there were happy emotions in the crowd one must not forget how hard many clubs battled during the 2013/14 ABFA Division 1 campaign. Urlings F.C like many teams at the top of the table, had to wait until the very last day of the season for promotion confirmation.

Head Coach Bo Matthew stated “I’m very proud of my players as they worked hard, never gave up and helped the club gain promotion in my first season in charge.”

On the night the club gave individual awards for outstanding players of club. See the list of award winners as follows:

Young player of the year: Kyan London
Defender of year: Jason Thomas
Top goal scorer: Quinton Griffith
President’s trophy for most outstanding performance: Aza Francis (GK)

Urlings F.C gained promotion to the ABFA Premier League after finishing 2nd in Division 1 with 13 wins, 5 draws and 4 loses from 22 matches.
