St. John’s, Antigua – Born in Antigua and Barbuda and later moving to England at the age of 4. Adriel “AJ” Goerge has now made his move to the senior national team of Antigua and Barbuda.
Previously involved in the 2014 Under-20 Bennaboys setup the Oxford United player was awarded his first professional contract last August. He is the son of former national and Point West Ham player St. Clair “Sanky” George.
According to Oxford United’s Website:
The 20-year-old, who made his full debut for the U’s earlier in the season, has been a regular in the Development Side all season and will link up with the squad for their CFU Caribbean Cup Qualifiers against Aruba on the 23rd March and St. Kitts & Nevis on the 29th March
AJ told us:
“I’m very honoured to get the call up. I was part of the under 20 squad a while back and that was a fantastic experience and now to be part of the full squad is something I’m really looking forward to.”
